Many people have contacted the band concerning the cowboy hats they wear.

Enthusiastic Pygmie fans have launched a group at thefacebook.com devoted to The Velcro Pygmies. It is exclusively available to Auburn students and Alums (sorry Tide and Vol fans).

This year The Velcro Pygmies will change a 12 year Derby tradition. The band will NOT be performing at The Phoenix Hill Tavern. Many people look forward to spending the wee hours of the night with Louisville's favorite rock band however there will be no 6 AM rock n roll this year.

America is a great country. You can sit in a posh New York bar and eat oysters and an omelette the morning after drinking a few cold ones at a rowdy roadhouse on the outskirts of tiny Auburn, Ala.

Well the battle is raging once again, and we need the help of all Pygmie fans. Last year Cameron was voted "Man Of The Year" by Bama Bands, and this year we've got two members in the fight.

For everyone that isn't going to be with The Pygmies at the beach we wanted to post the current article in the Pelican about the band.

While cleaning out the Velcro Pygmie archives a tape was found containing never before released material of the band. This was captured in the band's hometown of Louisville KY while performing at The Phoenix Hill Tavern.

In a complete surprise to the band Target picked up the Pygmies' new CD and is now selling it on their web site. The sales generated from the web site will determine whether or not they decide to carry LOP store wide. Feel free to do your part and pick up 10 or 12 of them.

Bama Bands paid Cameron a fine honor when awarding him as "Hottie of the Year". The award was based on votes cast by visitors to the Bama Band's website.

Blake "The Blazeman" Baumeier played his final performance with Jimmy, Chris, Pete and Cam this past weekend at Harpole's in Evansville IN. Blake's final performance was based on the date (Feb 7th) and not as a result of the venue.

Dear Friends, fans, and extended family: After 14 years as a Velcro Pygmie, I have finally reached the point in my life where I feel like it is time for me to move on.

Finally there is confirmation that The Pygmies did in fact make the new Girls Gone Wild DVD collection. It's from the Supper Club show and it is on Vol. 5 of Endless Spring Break.

The Velcro Pygmies have been chosen to participate in the new MP3.com rival Braincube Records.

It took 13 years but finally The Velcro Pygmies were invited to headline the prestigious Waterfront Chow Wagon. For those of you reading this that aren't aware of what exactly a Chow Wagon is let me bring you up to speed. As a part of the Kentucky Derby Festival each year multiple locations are set up with beer, food, beer, music, beer, silly hats, and more beer. Admission is free as long as you are wearing an official Derby Pin.

Pygmie production guru and soundman extraordinaire Pete Fitzgerald has involved the band in a new adventure sport known as "geocaching". Geocaching involves the use of the Global Positioning System satellites (GPS) and a GPS receiver.

I had been in anticipation for a while now as I awaited the Pygmies return to Mississippi. Not only are these guys entertaining and talented but they are also good people. I can honestly say that I have learned so much from these guys in this business that we love; music.

LA, CA. Girls Gone Wild Mini Tour. The Velcro Pygmies will be making five appearances in February with the Girls Gone Wild Tour.

The Velcro Pygmies travel to space. In an unprecedented move, NASA has authorized the Pygmies to be on board the next Shuttle mission … or rather, one of the unique NASA – Pygmy T-shirts will be worn by Astronaut Collins, in space, during shuttle mission STS-114.

I have to admit that I was quite stoked when heading into work last night and heard that the Pygmies are coming back to Jackson, and this time their bringing the Girls Gone Wild tour. Who doesn’t like the Pygmies or GGW for that matter? This band absolutely rocks.
